Staking University Classes in Manteno, IL

Staking University classes are taught at our flagship facility - Planet Underground. This setting provides live and abandoned utilities for hands-on locating.

At Staking University, classes are taught by instructors with over 100 years of combined practical experience.

It doesn't matter whether you come to Staking University's Manteno campus, or Staking U comes to you - 60% to 70% of class time is outdoors. While locating theory is important, we want you to be able to put theory into practice.

The training does not focus on locating just one type of utility.

While many of the students enrolled at Staking University have little to no locating experience, others have been in the field for a few years.

And somewhat surprisingly, there are students with several decades of locating experience attending Staking U. These students know what they’re doing with regards to locating. Their satisfaction comes from learning “how” an instrument works and “why” things happen with the signal that they trace.
