is World of Training the best damage prevention show?
Utility cross training helps workers complete the underground picture.
World of Training's unique curriculum allows attendees to learn the basics of utilities other than their own, and to become aware of the dangers involved in digging around those utilities.The World of Training short courses are simple, complete and are just as pertinent to the excavator as they are to first responders and facility owners.
The damage prevention process shouldn't stop at the time of damage to a cable or pipeline. Damage prevention needs to address accident response and, in turn, prevent disaster. It is accident response that determines whether an accident becomes a disaster.
Excavators, facility owners and first responders are key players that must work as a team to prevent disaster. But, how often do they train together?
Excavators typically are not a large part of damage prevention show attendees. With the tandem Dig BIG event, excavators are invited to use equipment, as well as attend World of Training safety demos.
At World of Training, emergency first responders are part of the training team and will increase awareness of their function in an accident situation.
