In the last three months, six people have perished as the result of excavation accidents involving gas lines. While improved damage prevention procedures may have prevented two of these deaths, four others were likely preventable by the actions of expert personnel at the scene.
This new 20-minute video looks at things gone wrong--from a damage prevention viewpoint as well as from a post-accident viewpoint.
Excavators, utility personnel, and emergency responders will benefit from viewing Digging Dangers 18: Disaster Prevention. The video will will help train your personnel about new Federal legislation requiring excavators to call 911 in the event of striking gas pipelines. In addition, it will make workers pause to think about their actions if confronted with similar circumstances.

Staking University’s First
March 14-15, 2007
How do you know that your locator is competent? Whether you employ locators or dig on locators’ marks, this is no doubt a question you have asked.
Staking University will conduct their first ever Locating Certification Seminar in Manteno, IL.
This two-day training seminar presents and demonstrates all of the things that a competent locator knows about the locating instrument—the instrument used to protect underground pipes and cables from excavation damage.
Our Locator Certification Seminar introduces the concept of a hands-on testing process that can weed-out those that understand the instrument from those that cannot.

June 26-27, Manteno, IL
Do you know how to run an effective outdoor training and industry awareness event?
That was the question we asked when looking for assistance with World of Training 2007. We got responses from over twenty organizations that sent representatives to a series of Advisory Board meetings.
This year’s World of Training will be larger, more comprehensive, better-organized, and safer thanks to the commitment and guidance of our industry experts. We're looking forward to working with additional companies that have indicated interest that will assist us as we move into the next stage of preparation. |
